How did you first hear about Ecobarter?

I first heard about Ecobarter through a sponsored ad on Instagram. I was immediately drawn to the idea that they would come pick up recyclables, weigh them and convert them into points that can be transferred straight to your bank account. This was indeed Fascinating to me.

What motivated you to start recycling with us?

What motivated me to start recycling with Ecobarter was the chance to make a real environmental impact while teaching my family and community how small actions can reduce waste.

What’s your favorite part of using the Ecobarter app or RVMs?

The best part for me was using the RVM  also known as Atm for Plastics,  it was such a “wow” moment! I was so excited to see the machine scan, weigh and record the recyclables and immediately give me points. It made waste recycling fun, tangible and rewarding.

How has recycling with Ecobarter changed the way you see waste?

Since I started recycling my waste with Ecobarter, the way and approach i see waste has changed completely. I now see every item not as trash, but as an opportunity to give back to the planet.

I’ve also made it a habit with my family. We have designated baskets in our house and everyone contributes their waste there. Now, throwing away plastics, cans, cartons or even old electronics has become almost a taboo in my family. It’s so rewarding to see them understand that these waste items can be recycled into something useful.

Can you share the most surprising item you’ve recycled so far?

The most surprising waste items I’ve recycled so far are old toothpaste tubes and dead chargers (e-waste) which I never imagined could be recycled efficiently!

Describe a moment you used your Ecobarter points for something that really made you smile?

A moment that really made me smile was seeing my Ecobarter points accumulate from the items I recycled. It felt amazing to know that my small actions were being recognized and could be turned into eco-friendly rewards.

How often do you recycle through Ecobarter?

I try to recycle my waste as often as I can, usually weekly and I make it a point of duty to encourage friends and family to recycle too by sharing tips and showing how easy waste recycling can be.

If you could describe your Ecobarter journey in 3 words, what would they be?

If I could describe my Ecobarter journey in three words: Empowering, Eye-Opening, Rewarding.

What’s the one thing you would love Ecobarter to improve or add?

One thing I would love Ecobarter to improve is expanding waste collection points for different types of waste, especially pharmaceutical packaging.
